5 Home Design Apps That Allow You To Be A Material Snob

Introduction

One of my favorite things to do as a designer is to work with clients who are obsessed with the details. Not only do I enjoy helping them manage their projects and making sure that everything goes smoothly, but I also love being able to show them how we can incorporate the materials they love into their spaces. While there are plenty of ways to get ideas for your next home design project, including books, magazines and even Pinterest (which is what I use most often), these five apps allow you to take things one step further by allowing you access to thousands upon thousands of products from around the world at your fingertips:

MyDeco

MyDeco is a home design app that allows users to choose materials for their home. It has over 1000 materials in its library and allows you to search for them by color, texture and finish. You can save the ones you like as favorites so they’re easily accessible later on.

MyDeco is available on both iOS and Android devices

Houzz

Houzz is an online platform that allows you to browse photos of interior design, as well as upload photos of your home and get feedback from other users.

It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for inspiration or want to see what other people are doing with their homes!

Style Planner

Style Planner is a home design app that allows you to create a mood board for your home. You can add photos, text, and colour schemes to the app. It also has a colour palette tool that allows you to find the perfect colour scheme for your space.

DERMOT DESIGNER

Dermot Designer is an app that allows you to design your own furniture and appliances. You can save your designs and share them with friends, or even buy them directly from the app. The interface is simple and easy to use, with a wide range of materials to choose from including wood, metal and glass. There are also plenty of colors available for each material so you can create exactly what you want!

Pinterest

Pinterest is a great place to find inspiration for home design, especially if you’re into contemporary or midcentury styles. You can also use Pinterest to get ideas for material selection, color selection and furniture selection. For example: If you want to learn more about marble countertops and how they look in various kitchens, search “marble kitchen” on Pinterest and browse through the images that come up — they’ll give an idea of what works best in different spaces without having to make an expensive purchase first!
